Connecting Workia to Docusign
Getting Started
Before connecting Workia to Docusign, you must make sure you have access to your DocuSign admin settings so you have access to the information required to connect your apps.
In the sections below, we’ll walk through how to:
Finding the DocuSign Integration Key, User ID, and Account ID

Once these steps are complete, you’ll be ready to use DocuSign in Workia.
Finding the DocuSign Integration Key, User ID, and Account ID
After logging into Docusign (apps.docusign.com), click "Admin".
On your DocuSign App Dashboard, under the INTEGRATIONS section of your left navigation, select Apps and Keys.
In DocuSign's App and Keys settings page, you should see the Integration Key for your app under the App and Integration Keys section. If not, follow these steps to create them using a developer account.
a. Click "Add App and Integration Key" on the page.
b. Add your App Name (can be anything).
c. Select the appropriate Integration Type.
d. Scroll to the bottom and click "Save".
Enter this information in your Workia DocuSign settings page in the Integration Key field.
a. From the homepage, click on your profile icon at the top-righthand corner of the page. Hover over Settings and click on Connections.
b. In the App Connections screen, Click the "Connect" button within the DocuSign card.
In DocuSign's App and Keys settings page, you will see the User ID in the My Account Information section.
Enter this information in your Workia DocuSign settings page in the User ID field.
Back in DocuSign, you will find the Account ID as a numeric value in the left navigation section.
Copy that numeric value and enter it into the Account ID field in your Workia DocuSign settings page.
Configuring the RSA Private Key
In DocuSign, click the Action picker for your app and select "Edit".
Under Service Integration, click "Generate RSA".
Copy the Private Key.
In Workia, click "Set RSA Private Key" and paste the private key from DocuSign there.
Choosing the Environment you are configuring
When connecting Workia to DocuSign, you'll need to choose whether you're connecting to a Developer or Production environment.
Developer Environment
Use the Developer environment if you're testing your integration or configuring Workia in a sandbox.
A developer account:
Connects to DocuSign's test environment.
Allows you to send test envelopes without affecting real business processes.
Uses separate users, templates, and documents from your production account.
Is intended for development, testing, and training.
This is what a developer app would look like in DocuSign:
Production Environment
Use the Production environment when you're ready to use DocuSign in your live business.
A production account:
Connects to your live DocuSign account.
Sends legally binding documents to real recipients.
Uses your organization's live users, templates, branding, and workflows.
Should only be used once you've completed testing in a developer environment.

How to configure the environment in Workia
Once you determine what environment you are using in DocuSign, go to Workia and choose the environment you are trying to configure (Developer or Production).
Configuring the Redirect URI
Enter the Redirect URI in Workia - this is where the user gets redirected to after they are done with DocuSign (ex. your Workia homepage)
Make sure the Redirect URI is configured as the same address in DocuSign (this is in the same page you generated the RSA key.
Generating the Consent URL
Click "Generate Consent" beside the Redirect URI field in Workia.
Copy this link and send it to your IT or whoever has access to grant permission for this connection.
Your IT or admin will then need to click Allow Connection. They will get redirected to your configured Redirect URI if successful.
Finalizing the connection
In Workia's DocuSign configuration, click "Connect".
If successful, you will see the API Endpoint and all the information will be locked as read-only.
Creating a merge document template for signature
To create a document template for signatures, simply add a merge field for Signatures in a company document template.

Adding an e-signature document to a case
To add an e-signature document to a case, simply go to the Documents section and select the E-Signature Documents tab. Next, simply click on "+" or the Add e-signature document button.
Saving an e-signature document
In the e-signature document view from a case, click on Save or Save as .pdf.
💡Note: You can find documents saved as .pdf in the All Documents tab in a case.
Sending a document for signature
There are 2 ways to send an e-signature document from a case.
One way is to select an e-signature document in the Documents section of a case. Click on "..." and select Send for signature.
Another way is from the document editor. In the e-signature document view from a case, click on Share and select Send for signature.
Drag and drop the names to sort and confirm the order of signatures and click on Send for signature to send the documents via Docusign!
Adding supporting documents to a Docusign envelope
You can attach multiple supporting documents to a single DocuSign envelope when sending e-signature documents. Simply select the documents you want to attach before clicking Send for signature.
💡Note: Signed e-signature documents now save a complete PDF in Workia, including all files that were part of the signing envelope.
Sharing an e-signature document via e-mail
In the e-signature document view from a case, click on Share and select Share document via email. Setup your message or use the Email Assistant and send!
💡Note: Sharing an e-signature document via email creates an entry in the Communications tab of a case!
Signature details
Click on "..." and select Signature Details to check the status of the e-signature document.
A manual Retry button is located on the right side of the Signature Details section. Use this to request the latest signature details if a document gets stuck and cannot move to the next signer.
You can also resend the document by clicking on Resend at the bottom part of the section.
