Workday is a cloud-based software system designed to help companies manage their human resources, payroll, and financial data. Businesses can easily manage employee information, track time and attendance, process payroll, and generate reports and analytics.

With our Workday integration, you can easily automate and synchronize your employee records from your Workday system to Workia.

How to connect Workday to Workia?

An initial connection must be established from Workday to begin the integration. To get started, click on your Profile Icon > Settings > Connections. Navigate to the Workday connection and click Connect.

๐Ÿ’ก Quick check! An active integration will show a green check mark on the top of the card on the connections screen and an "Enabled" status tag on connection settings indicating that the integration is in use.

Once you have opened the connection settings screen, you will find a list of fields requiring the Workday details needed to connect to the Workia app. An asterisk (*) denotes that it is a mandatory field and must be provided for the integration to work.

Fields required for the connection:

  • Authentication Type*

  • Tenant ID*

  • WSDL URL*

  • Client ID*

  • Client secret* (Found in API Client Settings)

  • Refresh Token (If API client for Integrations is used)

  • Authorization endpoint* (Found in API Client Settings)

  • Token endpoint* (Found in API Client Settings)

  • Workday tenant time zone

  • Advanced settings - Advanced XML payload for multiple ID values

  • Workday web services version*

๐Ÿ’ก Unsure about the details required? We suggest requesting assistance from your IT team, or you may visit Workday's resource center to know more about Workday's integration requirements.

After inputting the required details to the connection settings, click on "Connect" to proceed with the integration.

Once connected, you will see the Connection success status appear besides the "Disconnect" button on the lower left corner of the connection settings.

But we're not done yet! We still need to enable the connection for us to sync the employee records from Workday to Workia.

Enabling the Workday connection

In the connection settings screen, click on "Enable" on the upper right of the screen. Your connection with Workday will be active and the Enabled status tag will appear on the upper right corner of the connection settings.

๐Ÿ’กNote: When enabled, the supported employee and case data fields will be synced with the data in Workday and any on going changes to the data in Workday will be updated in Workia.

How do I test the Workday connection?

Head over to your connection settings screen and look for the "Test Integration" button beside the status tag on your connection settings.

Use the Employee ID Number from a Workday employee to use for input on the Search field. Once you have provided an employee ID number, the employee details will appear below the field if the connection has successfully connected to Workia.
