If you have an AIRINC data subscription, you can use your own data in Workia!

💡Note: In doing so, you will also qualify for a lower cost estimate click cost from Workia, as Workia is no longer supplying data for your cost estimates.

Steps to enable Bring Your Own Data (BYOD):

First, contact AIRINC and inform them that you would like to use your own data in Workia, so that they can prepare the data in Workia format.

Next, send a message to the Workia team in the Help Center to ask for it to be turned on. Once turned on, you’ll no longer have access to the standard AIRINC data pre-loaded by Workia.

AIRINC will provide your data according to your data update schedule and will provide the data in either a .zip file or several Excel spreadsheets. There’s no need to prepare or modify these files—they can be uploaded as-is!

Finally, a Workia Admin will need to upload/drag and drop the files in the Cost Estimates Data Upload Page in the Settings menu.

What is considered as Custom Data in BYOD?

Custom data can include all the items that Workia has calculations for, such as:

  • COLA

  • Per Diem

  • Education and Hardship Allowances

  • Rental Car and Transportation Allowances

  • Housing Lease Costs

  • Utility Allowances

  • Deductions for Housing and Utilities

  • Storage

  • Medical Insurance

  • Tax Services

  • Airfare

  • Shipments

  • Excess Baggage

  • Cultural and Language Training

  • Hotel and Temporary Living Costs

  • Immigration

💡Coming Soon: Workia is also working on new functionality that will allow you to view and search the data you’ve uploaded.

Managing your Custom Data

Users can see the data they’ve uploaded and easily filter and search or specific data points by clicking on the View Data button.

Users can download files by clicking on the Download button.

To delete a file, click on the Delete button and select Delete in the confirmation screen.

Updating your Custom Data

To update your custom data, simply upload a new set of data. It automatically moves the old data on to Archived and puts the new one as Active.
